Info
Three years ago to the day, BLACK MOUNTAIN TRANSMITTER released his debut masterpiece Black Goat of the Woods, an album which solidified his place among the great composers of analog horror soundtracks. Today we celebrate his newest audio offering titled Playing with Dead Things, comprised of two 17 minute tracks of his trademark analog compositions of blackened synthesizers, deathly atmospheres and ritualistic eeriness. To match the necromantic leanings of the album, each cassette is housed inside a hand-cut, sanded and routed-out piece of solid wood, a "coffinblock" to hold the miasma of magnetic rumblings that are constantly brewing forth uneasiness. Two editions have been created to match the social standings of the dead: a simple, utilitarian brown for the "plebeian" class and a magnificent sparkling red vellum for the "patrician" edition.
